The dedicated flattener ceased being produced not long after the scopes came out - WO seem to have a habit of doing that. The dedicated flattener did flatten but it also made the scope a bit slower, something like f/6.2, instead of the f/5.9 or whatever it is. Imagers were a bit unhappy with that.
