My guess is the new turbo 2.7L engine is going to perform similar to either the Ford 2.3 Ecoboost or the Ford 2.7 Ecoboost. Probably the latter. Functionally that means an engine that is capable of much higher power and faster acceleration than the 2.8 diesel.
